Our very recently expanded mixed phase multi academy trust, South East Essex Academy Trust (SEEAT), is seeking to appoint up to two trustees to our board. This is a very exciting time to be joining SEEAT as we look to further enable our expanded family of schools to create new opportunities and positive outcomes for all. What’s great about our family of seven schools, which covers effectively age range from 2 to 18, is that we can be with a child every step of the way, from teaching them to tie their shoe laces right through to congratulating them on their GCSE and A level results and discussing their future plans. That puts us in a unique position; it’s also a tremendous responsibility and trustees provide critical strategic direction for our team of passionate, dedicated and talented staff to impart the stimulus for helping each child to reach their full potential.
SEEAT was created some seven years ago comprising Holt Farm Junior School, Prince Avenue Academy & Nursery, Rochford Primary School & Nursery and Westcliff High School for Girls. At the start of this new academic year (2021/22) we were delighted that three further schools came together with us The Deanes, Hadleigh Junior School and Westborough Academy. To summarise SEEAT now comprises two secondary schools, three primary and two junior schools all based in south east Essex reflecting our desire to operate within a fairly local geographic patch.
SEEAT is seeking talented individuals who have the ability to work strategically with an experience of leadership linking to education, public sector and business backgrounds. Our schools serve diverse pupil populations and communities, and we want to be able to reflect this diversity in our Board of Trustees. The role of a trustee is challenging, interesting and deeply rewarding by contributing to well-being of our schools and communities - it is an opportunity to make a difference.
