We are a female-led internationally awardwinning theatre company specialising in historical dramas (including new writers), and stage adaptations of classical literature. We were founded in 2005 as a collaboration of local workig-class people who, with no performance opportunities in our area, and no access via location or finance in a highly deprived area, and decided to create our own for ourselves and people like us in the Devon region.
We make our regular shows and projects very accessible in terms of content suitability, content and access information, and are currently exploring creating free education packs, and initiatives to create supportive theatre-going for people in demographics, like those isoldated due to not having anyone to go with, or people who have felt for whatever reason, unwelcome. We specifically advertise to include local people in all aspects of the production, as a priority.
