Solas for Nature Ltd is a start-up social enterprise focused on restoring or enhancing nature across scraps of land in Scotland. We do this to increase species and improve habitats. And although nature is the main beneficiary, people also benefit from cleaner air, cleaner water, less flooding, more carbon pulled down into the soils, and healthier plants and animals around us.
We work with landowners to turn areas of redundant or neglected land into beneficial habitats. Using a hybrid model of local contractors and volunteers we bring even wider socio-economic benefits to the communities we work with. All surpluses we make will be re-invested in Solas to expand the areas we work in.
