Snow Angels’ befriending service is for older people who are lonely and socially isolated. The befriending service aims to alleviate the effects of loneliness and social isolation, support people to continue to live independently in their own home and improve health outcomes and quality of life. 

A volunteer will be matched with an older person and will give regular contact either through telephone, face to face visits or a mixture. Volunteers can support an older person in various matters from social and emotional support, dog walking, guidance, and advice, partaking in hobbies and activities and much more! We try to match to the closest befriendee to reduce travel needs.
