Small Steps Project is a children's charity. We provide emergency aid and crisis intervention for children living on or around rubbish dumps/landfill sites, surviving from scavenging. Followed by sustainable solutions to help them take small steps off the dump and into education to break the cycle of poverty in which they are trapped.
We provide emergency care and goods including, protective shoes and clothes, food, water and medical care to children and their families on rubbish dumps. Then we set up and run sustainable solutions including outreach, hygiene, medical, dentistry, counselling, mother and baby, nursery, school, integration, counselling. We currently have three active projects in Cambodia, Laos and Romania.
