Hi We are small acts of kindness and we are a small independent charity who support older people all year round especially at winter. We support older people in Sussex (mainly Brighton and Hove) with projects, at the moment we have completed 2 projects as we started in July 2020:
Warm in winter gift bags which help elderly people who are cold and can’t afford their winter refuelment payment and our Celebrate Christmas gift bags which help people who feel lonely at Christmas time with gifts and treats,we are looking to expand this to all year round and fund and run different projects to add to our projects list.
Our aim is that every older person feels warm in their home and connected to their community. We do this by sourcing and distributing practical gifts that reduce negative impact loneliness and isolation can have on older people’s physical and mental wellbeing. Our gifts help older people who are cold in their homes and people who have to make the impossible decision between hearing their homes and buying food, we connect communities with kindness.
