Skills for People is a company limited by guarantee (no 3487635) and a registered charity (1069993). Skills for People was established in 1983 and works to make sure that disabled people can be in control of their own lives, strong, confident and included in the communities of their choice.
We have always had disabled people, particularly those with learning disabilities leading our work – they decide what happens at Skills for People, they work here as employees and volunteers. Their experiences are at the heart of all we do.We operate from our offices in Newcastle upon Tyne. We deliver services and provide training and support to promote the rights of disabled people.
