Objectives

Skills Builder Partnership is a global movement uniting over 800 educators, employers and non-profits around a shared mission: one day, everyone will build the essential skills needed to succeed.

Essential skills are those highly transferable skills that everyone needs to do almost any job. Research has demonstrated that building the essential skills means that you’re 52% less likely to be out of work or education, as well as increasing learning outcomes, wages and wellbeing.

With rising youth unemployment, disrupted education and further disadvantages for deprived communities, supporting people to connect with the world of work and develop their essential skills has never been more important. Supporting us helps the next generation, providing them with the guidance, support and knowledge to transform their life outcomes

Activities

The Skills Builder Partnership supports educators, non-profits and employers to support individuals to develop their essential skills. This includes:

  • Education: Supporting schools to build a school-wide strategy to teach essential skills. This includes SLT strategy meetings, all staff teacher training and access to a suite of tools and resources.
  • Non-Profits: We support organisations to embed the Skills Builder Framework into their programmes to boost their participant's skills and demonstrate impact.
  • Employers: We support employers to embed the Skills Builder approach into their outreach, recruitment and staff development opportunities to support individuals across the business to understand and build their skills.
