The Sirona Foundation was set up in 2013 to support the health and wellbeing of communities served by Sirona care & health (Bristol, Nth Somerset, South Gloucestershire). Since that time, it has awarded over £1.5 million of grants to fund equipment and projects that enhance health and social care services; aids the wellbeing of local people and supports the development of staff providing vital health and care services. Its substantial investment in local people and communities has contributed to increased independence for many, enabling people to continue with their daily lives and achieve the best possible health and wellbeing. It has also helped staff to gain additional experience or qualification so that our communities are served by those with the highest skills and expertise.
Funding for the Foundation comes from several sources including grants from Sirona care & health, legacies, donations from people who have received services from Sirona and contributions following fundraising events. It is a legally constituted body with charitable status that has its own Directors who are also the Charity’s Trustees.
The Sirona Foundation is at an exciting point of growth. In 2022, the charity appointed its first employee, a Development Officer. The post aim is to develop the Foundation by putting into place a long-term sustainable plan, promote and raise awareness internally and externally, and establish more sustainable support.
As a Trustee, to be truly effective and assist the charity in this stage of its development, the Board must be well-equipped and confident to provide guidance and direction for their charity.
As a Trustee for the Sirona Foundation, you will help shape and grow the charity
