We work to benefit local residents, in particular children, families and non-native English speakers by helping develop their interpersonal skills through recreational and educational activities.
We work to improve social cohesion, alleviate the effects of deprivation and enhance people's self-determination.
Although founded and part-supported by Unitarians, we offer a non-religious environment based on humanist values of tolerance and social justice
Locally we run two after school clubs for primary school children and a lunch club which serves local residents. In addition we offer ESOL, a playgroup and have worked with teens in a variety of ways. Working in a deprived area we offer parents and children plus other local residents a safe and friendly community.
Nationally we offer workshops to Unitarian congregations through our Road Ahead programme to enable them to enhance the social action they offer in their own community
