Geographical remit:

The Silverlining Charity offers exciting opportunities for all those affected by brain injury (Silverliners) to get involved in exciting and purposeful activities in the community. Our service users include the brain injured as well as their family members, friends and professionals who are often overlooked despite the effects brain injury can have on loved ones. Our framework for supporting our Silverliners is to promote social and personal growth through shared and worthwhile experiences, including raising funds for other Charities and offering valuable brain injury education to community groups. Our activities are led by, rather than purely for, our service users and we believe that disability should never be a barrier to personal achievement. As our activities are led by our Silverliners, our activities often allow people to pursue their passions, discover new ones and find purposeful outlets after injury.

With a focus on inclusion, we support our members (Silverliners) to develop friendships, skills and new directions by:

  • Offering new and exciting activities accessible to all.
  • Promoting the development of clinically lead social support networks, connecting the brain injury community.
  • Offering opportunities for friendships and social inclusion.
  • Encouraging participation in charitable activities to support other causes.
  • Running meaningful group activities in the local community and abroad.
  • Arranging and facilitating inspirational educational initiatives aimed at community groups, developed and presented by those affected by brain injury.
