Objectives

Shropshire Youth Support Trust (SYST) is a registered Charity that offers holistic and bespoke support to young people who are socially and economically excluded by unemployment, and who are not in education or training. We support and empower youth across the West Midlands to identify their unique strengths and passions, whilst giving them the tools to sustain emotional and financial independence. Our beneficiaries often have multiple and complex barriers to employment, ranging from ex-offenders, homelessness, substance misuse, young carers, to those with specific conditions such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition, anxiety, depression, and long-term physical health conditions.

Our services include Employability Support, Self-Employment, Wellbeing Services, Soft Skill Interventions, Group Workshops, 1-2-1 Advice, Mentoring, and Engagement Activities. Our ‘ASYSTED Business Programme’ is built on the ethos of encouraging YP to follow their passion and what brings them happiness, by giving them the tools and guidance to create their own business

Activities

SYST offers one-to-one mentoring, advice and guidance. In addition to this, we run workshops on employability, self-employment and wellbeing. SYST also runs exciting engagement activities for young people in Telford and Wrekin, including arts, sports and social groups.
