Objectives

Sheffield Giants American Football team provides a way for people who are interested in the sport or want to try a new sport to engage in the game and American Football Community either by playing, coaching, joining the committee or general help and assistance before, during or after game days.

The team has the ability to provide a sense of involvement to all who become involved with the team, including those who may only wish to spectate. The team has the ability to bring communities together including the who are hard to reach and may be isolated.

Anyone can join in anyway they would like to join. Sheffield Giants have an Adult Contact team, Academy Teams and Flag & womens teams, each team have it's own committee which feeds into the Club Board structure.

Activities

Sheffield Giants American Football team is a participant in the British American Football Association (BAFA) national leagues. BAFA is the national governing body for the sport of American Football and non-contact Flag Football in the United Kingdom since 1985.

The Adult contact game in the UK is a summer sport with the season formatted as such; Pre-season January to April, Regular season April to August, Post season August to December.

The Giants largely operate and turnover financially through sponsorship and player subscriptions.
