Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust aims to preserve the natural environment and protect local wildlife to promote a 'living landscape' which everybody can enjoy. We manage 12 nature reserves which comprise ancient woodland, moorland, rivers and marshland as well as green enclaves within the city, providing a range of habitats for a variety of flora and fauna.
In addition to our conservation work, we offer a range of education and community programmes and run campaigns to engage people in protecting local wildlife and promoting biodiversity. Volunteers and public engagement with our work is vital to the successful delivery of our objectives. Our Wildscapes consultancy provides ecological surveys for planners and developers and wildlife related products for schools and businesses.
