Seven Winds CIC creates safe, inclusive creative spaces for marginalised people who self-identify as BAME, LGBTQ+, disabled, and neurodiverse. We work with people at various stages of their journey to explore, create, and share honest, challenging, innovative work that moves us towards a more inclusive global society.

Our projects are designed to help people overcome the real and perceived barriers to achieving their goals. We provide a range of services including, creative digital media content, mental health and wellbeing support, and youth-led creative training programmes.  Our creative programmes are focal points for change in aspirations and skills, which equip people with the tools they need to live happy, fulfilling lives, enabling them to make positive contributions to their community.

Activities

Seven Winds CIC uses Storytelling for Social Change

We brings together a diverse network of creative thinkers, knowledge workers, teachers, academics, and community leaders. Together we research, develop, and distribute authentic grassroots stories. Our creative projects and services focus on authentic grassroots storytelling because we want the 21st Century to be the People’s Century.  We want this to be the century in which the talents and achievements of everyday people are recognised.

With support from Arts Council England,  the Lottery Community Fund, and the British Film Institute (BFI), we are able to carry out great community-based  initiatives. Our Projects include digital media training, immersive storytelling events, podcasts. We channel our energies where they can really make a difference.  We focus on sustainability, so we are adopt a holistic approach that has a meaningful and lasting impact.  Our aim is to work from the ground up, drive innovation, and support the new wave of diverse talent.
