Objectives

Safe and Sound Homes (SASH) is an ambitious charity working with young people aged 16-25 to avoid or break the cycle of homelessness across North and East Yorkshire by offering a place to stay in the homes of our exceptional Hosts. By keeping these young people safe during a time of crisis, we can support them to change their lives and build a positive future. Our ambition is that those we help never face homelessness again.

SASH supports over 300 young people each year in York, North Yorkshire and the East Riding by providing them with a safe place to stay on a temporary or longer-term basis.

Activities

We provide a safe place to stay on a temporary or longer-term basis for young people aged 16-25 facing homelessness. Our work is supported by an amazing network of volunteer hosts who give young people a safe place in their home and we work with our young people to develop independent living skills to support their move on.
