Mission: "The Sanjay Mortimer Foundation (SMF) is established to help those with neurodiverse minds realised their strengths and talents through engineering and making"

Beneficiaries: These are our "SMF Stars". They are neurodiverse, resident in England & Wales, are between the ages of 11 yrs - 25 yrs and find empowerment within science, technology, engineering & maths (STEM) activities.

Our services: The SMF provides "SMF Support" in the form of grants, funding, resources, mentors, work experience and internships for our Stars.

Our Impact: The SMF recognises that neurodivergent minds can think creatively, they can be analytical, highly focused, excellent problem solvers, have high attention to detail, and think outside the box. They may struggle at school and university where rigid curriculums and standardised environments prevail. Such environments can pose challenges for neurodiverse individuals and result in students becoming discouraged and disinterested in learning.

The SMF aims to find these individuals and introduce them to a strength-based way of learning (focusing on an area they genuinely enjoy). This can provide an outlet and help them to realise where their talents lie, thus empowering them, building their confidence and giving them belief in their abilities, so that they may go on to pursue a career where they can thrive.

Building relationships with Collaborators (Schools, Universities, MAT etc) allows others to help us find our Stars and work with us to provide them with the best possible support to meet their needs (all support is bespoke to the individual).

Building relationships with Partners (STEM Industry players) allows continued support to the charity through CSR and fundraising initiatives.

Hosting a major fundraising event each year - a 3D printing festival - attracts attendees from all over the world, and allows continued exposure, support and income streams.
