Objectives

SHARP is a registered charity which provides accommodation and support for teenage parents and their children.  We have 30 units of self-contained accommodation in Sandwell.  Parents who prefer to live with their partners are able to access the accommodation.  SHARP provides 18 self-contained units of accommodation for the homeless where homeless people are able to access support if required.  SHARP also provides floating support in the community for people with chaotic and/or mental health backgrounds.

Activities

Most of our income is generated through contractual relationships with Sandwell MBC.  However, our new CEO would like to see us generate an independent income source.  He already has considerable experience in business on his own account and as a social business advisor.  He needs help and support to reach places where no statutory body already reaches - in other words, we want to catch the people who fall through the net.  In 2018, SHARP's ambition is to become a Registered Social Landlord and this objective is already underway, with luck, it should be achieved on the 5th April, 2018.
