RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool & South Tyneside is a branch of the animal welfare charity, RSPCA. Our aim is end cruelty and to promote kindness to animals in order to alleviate their suffering. Our Branch specifically carries out our work in the local community were we strive to educate the public, offer assistance to those who are struggling to care for their pets and rehome and rehabilitate animals that find themselves in our cattery.

Activities

  • We create educational material for a variety of ages on the 5 animal welfares
  • We deliver lessons to primary school and secondary school aged children.
  • We provide subsidised veterinary treatment for animals, which are sick or injured and belong to local people on low incomes. We do this through our voucher scheme.
  • We provide subsidised neutering and microchipping of companion animals for those in the Branch area on low incomess
  • We provide volunteering opportunities for those who wish to support our work. This benefits local people and companies by providing the possibility of doing work, which is compassionate and rewarding.
