Our objective is simple:
We work to prevent cruelty, promote kindness towards and alleviate suffering of animals by all lawful means, with a particular focus on animals within the Thanet Branch area.
The RSPCA Isle of Thanet Branch is a local Branch of the RSPCA supporting the work of Inspectors. Our charity is based primarily from our animal rehabilitation and rehoming centre in Birchington. We have facilities to care for cats, dogs, rabbits, small animals and vast array of wildlife; we take these animals from a life of abuse, neglect, abandonment or suffering and care for them until they are ready to be rehomed or released.
We support the local community and animals however we can and offer services such as low cost neutering, microchipping and veterinary treatment. We carry out outreach work in the community offering education services and supporting local food banks by providing animal feed, wherever possible.
We fundraise locally to support the work of our animal centre - primarily through the charities network of for charity shops in Westgate, Ramsgate, Brichington and Broadstairs.
Our charity is run by a local group of volunteer trustees - we welcome expressions of interest to join our growing and diverse board.
