The RSAA aims to be the UK’s leading network for those with an interest in, experience of, and expertise about Asia. Our membership is passionate about the role of Asia in a global context, and sharing an understanding of how the countries of Asia relate to each other and to the rest of the world. Bringing together our members through virtual and physical networks, we create an environment where experience and interest develop together to improve knowledge and understanding of contemporary events, placed within their historical and cultural context. We apply this knowledge to relevant stakeholders to ensure that they can make evidence-based policies and decisions which benefit the public both within and outside Asia.
Events We host a range of events from open access virtual lectures to closed expert panels; dinners and drinks receptions; and special themed events. Our events bring our membership together to hear from leaders in their field from across Asia and the world.
Network Our virtual and physical networks help realise our ambition of bringing diverse groups together to exchange knowledge and develop informed policies and opinions.
Influence Information drives action, so we will support policy makers and influencers by offering expert support to think tanks, journalists, and other stakeholders, as well as actively supporting an APPG on Central Asia. We draw on the expertise and experience of our membership to produce articles, blogs, and opinion pieces on contemporary and historical trends and events in Asia.
