Roundabout is dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable people of all ages, using the creative power of dramatherapy to enhance mental health. Our work is professional, effective, creative, empowering, supportive, inclusive, and authentic. "Since he has been attending weekly dramatherapy sessions all I can say is WOW! Dramatherapy has been the highlight of my son’s school year. it has made him grow in confidence and he is able to express his feelings so much better, he is able to reflect and proceed which is something he has never been able to do before as his anxiety would just take over."
Roundabout provides dramatherapy sessions (typically weekly) in the community e.g. schools, care homes, day centres working with individuals and groups. Our dramatherapists use drama related techniques such as storytelling, metaphor, play and movement, improvisation, puppets and music, to support people to cope with many different challenges such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship difficulties with friends or family and loneliness and make positive changes in their lives.
