Objectives

Romanian Rescue Appeal was founded by Lindsey Church in March 2014.  Lindsey became involved in Romanian rescue in early 2014. Prior to that she says she would close her eyes and ears to pictures and stories, only so that she could sleep and not be haunted by the faces of helplessness and desperation.
Prior to founding Romanian Rescue Appeal Lindsey  had been involved in a number of rescues, including from the Breasta hell hole. The Romanian Rescue Appeal brings together a team of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from the awful situations they face in Romania.  It is run by the trustees and volunteers, with the support of several other experienced rescuers in the UK. and Romania.  We aim to find loving new homes here in the UK for as many dogs as we can.  We also aim to support the building of more rescue places in Romania so that there is somewhere safe for dogs to go to before they can come to the UK. So far we have built 3 shelters in Romania.  We rely totally on donations and fund raising events. Our main platform to raise donations is via Facebook. Without the support of the supporters on here, our dogs would have nothing. We currently have over 1000 dogs in our care in Romania. Each day brings a new stress and a new cost. We have so many adoptable dogs.
