Objectives

The Rivertime Boat Trust is a multi-award winning charity that offers disabled and disadvantaged adults, children and young people an opportunity to develop a long term involvement with the River Thames by providing a safe, supportive and stimulating environment aboard ‘Rivertime’.

Our Wheelchair Accessible Passenger Boat operates between Windsor, Henley-on-Thames and Oxford on the River Thames. It is run by a group of experienced people with business and charity backgrounds and fully trained volunteers with a passion for boating.

The ‘Rivertime’ Wheelchair Accessible Passenger Boat is licensed to take up to 12 people including carers. ‘Rivertime’ is fitted with a hydraulic wheelchair lift and takes disadvantaged adults and children with special learning needs and physical challenges for trips along the River Thames.

Activities

Rivertime offers 1-3 hour cruises on the River Thames for adults and children with physical and leaning difficulties and for disadvantaged people.

Launched in 2023 by HRH The Princess Royal, the Trust offers a joint educational program to SEND School children, delivering an interactive classroom experience learning about the environment and rivers, before boarding the boat to take what they have learned in a practical sense.
