The River Waveney Trust is an environmental charity dedicated to improving the River Waveney, its tributaries and catchment, making it a better place for people and wildlife. We are proud members of the national umbrella organisation for Rivers Trusts in the UK and Ireland - The Rivers Trust.
We work with local communities including farmers, residents, businesses, organisations and families to look after and improve the River Waveney. We are the only organisation dedicated to the river and its catchment - covering wildlife, water quality and flooding.
We cover the whole Waveney Catchment, which is in North Suffolk and South Norfolk.
Our work covers managing a small network of riverside sites for wildlife and community access, hosting local volunteer groups, working with farmers on habitat and water quality projects, natural flood managment, improving public access on land and in water, working with water companies to improve water quality and a host of practical habitat, water quality and river restoration projects.
