Rising Girl is a small charity that helps girls aged 11-18 in school through their Rise Together programme. The programme which was written by our partners Barnardo's helps girls rise above their obstacles. This is a groundbreaking one-of-its-kind programme in the UK and has been recognised by the West Midlands police Commissioner and local government for its important and impactful work. We also have a strong social media presence and meet many of the UN sustainability goals.
We are also due to embark on a gender equality programme in Pakistan once the Covid19 pandemic is under control.
We run the Rise Together programme in Schools in Birmingham and are planning to scale this up and take it nationwide.
The programme covers subjects such as DV, HBV, FM and mental health to name a few, and is delivered in a fun workshop format.
