I established Richard Newton Consulting in 2011 following a career of nearly 20 years in the not for profit sector, primarily in Wales. I had been frequently asked if I could use my fundraising, project management or wider business planning skills to help other organisations and I decided that my time working in senior and leadership positions in large charities did offer direct experience that had the potential to help other organisations.
I set up a business that was committed to working with not for profit organisations; seeking to build long-term relationships that benefitted our clients in terms of supporting business development, income generation, quality assurance, strategic planning and governance – in short contributing to the sustainability and resilience of these organisations over challenging economic times. As such we offer much more than just fundraising – recognising the inter-dependency that fundraising has with many other functions within an organisation.
Since then Richard Newton Consulting has grown, from me operating as a sole-trader through to the present team of consultants supported by a wider network of associates. We have developed a client base, across the UK alongside a small portfolio of international work. Our clients range from large international charities that turn over hundreds of millions of pounds, to small volunteer led organisations. Some clients work with us on a retained basis and others on a project basis. Our aim is to build a relationship that sustains and works for everybody involved.
I am proud, and hope it is testimony to the services we provide, that the vast majority of our clients form long term relationships with us. I believe this is due to the results that we deliver for clients, and our approach.
Central to our approach is our way of working –
Our services have grown in response to demand from our clients, including a recruitment division to help organisations recruit the best people available to fulfil their senior roles.
We would be delighted to explore, with no obligation, how we may be able to work with you. Please feel free to contact us.
