Objectives

Rhyl Sea Cadets is a registered charity and local youth organisation who work with children aged between 10 – 18 years.  Our unit is run entirely by volunteers (staff and committee members).  We offer training and discipline to young people and our aim is to provide the cadets with life changing and character building experiences which gets them off the streets, off their computer games, away from the television and show them what real life has to offer and gives them a chance to improve their health, lifestyle, attitude and potential in life.

We're working in our local community to give young people access to incredible opportunities and skills that help them to launch well in today's world.

It is our priority to make sure that Sea Cadets is a safe environment young people can go to, to be themselves and reach their potential.

Activities

Rhyl Sea Cadets helps young people by providing a whole range of activities both on and off the water. Our tailor made program gives young people the opportunity to try their hand at sailing, power boating, rowing and many different types of paddle sports. We are a RYA approved training centre offering our young people nationally recognised qualifications to follow them through later life. Whilst our waterborne training acts as a corner stone to what we aim to achieve our cadets can also earn vocational BTEC qualifications, their Duke of Edinburgh Award and a number of others in first aid, engineering, communications, and navigation just to name a few.
