Response is one of the largest mental health charities in the Thames Valley area and has grown significantly over the last 5 years and foresees this growth continuing. It provides a Housing Pathway of high quality housing options, ranging from 24 hour supported housing to largely independent accommodation with support available as needed. Despite the continuing pressures on Local Authority Housing Benefits, Response works to help vulnerable adults at a time of great stress in the overall housing market. With this provision, Response plays a vital role in developing and improving mental health services across the Thames Valley.
Response employs nearly 200 staff, supports over 400 people and the projected turnover is expected to hit £10 million by 2019.
Response aims to diversify their portfolio and open brand new services in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire alongside still developing new services in Oxfordshire either alone or in partnership with other organisations.
In the next four years the Board will be involved in decisions about the Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership, and the direction of its future developments in services local to Oxfordshire and across the Thames Valley; which is vital work when the need for good mental health services is increasingly evident.
Response is continuously looking at ways to work better, smarter, effectively and toward the future. The aim is to continue to grow as an organisation at a steady pace ensuring the service we provide remains consistent and of a high standard.
