The Reading Corner is developing several programmes designed to increase engagement and spark interest in books by providing schools and hospitals with the necessary tools such as activities, books, and furniture. We provide organisations with books and materials necessary to promote inclusivity, diversity and acceptance while making literature fun and engaging.
Diversity and inclusivity in the publishing industry are of prime importance to the Reading Corner, which is why we have created a safe for underrepresented authors to promote and discuss their upcoming releases as well as their initiatives and activism campaigns. Our social media channels also help with the promotion of their books and profiles, sharing updates, blurbs, quotes, etc.
Furthermore, we are working on providing learning and growth opportunities for students coming from marginalised and underserved groups who want to make a career in the publishing industry. Our Mentorship programme will see the light in late 2023.
