Read Easy Hackney is a small charity, affiliated to the national charity, Read Easy UK. We support adults who live in Hackney to learn to read. We train volunteer Reading Coaches to suypport our Readers one-to-one. The service is free, fun, flexible and life-changing.
Read Easy Hackney's Manangment Team works very closely with the two Coordinators who liaise directly with the volunteer Reading Coaches and their Readers. The Management Team, 9-strong, all passionate and professional in their approach, provides the group's governance. We currently have 27 Reading pairs 'active', and are trialling different ways to maintain the reading support during the Covid pandemic which best works for Readers and Coaches
