Objectives

RASASC-Guildford is a provider of a range of support services to survivors over the age of 13. Our mission is to provide a clear, accessible pathway for survivors through confidential and specialist person-centred services, and to work to reduce perceived stigmas associated with sexual abuse through education and awareness raising.

Activities

RASASC provides a range of services to survivors of rape and sexual abuse. These include:

  • One-on-one counselling for periods as appropriate for the individual survivor
  • Group counselling sessions where this is identified as being of benefit to the survivor
  • Family counselling to support the families of survivors
  • Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) who provide tailored practical support to individual survivors
  • A telephone Helpline that provides a listening and signposting service on an anonymous basis

In addition RASASC employs a Communication and Engagement manager who works with the community in Surrey to educate the public on the impact of sexual abuse and to highlight the range of services that we offer.
