To advance the education of the public in the Arts, particularly by the promotion of educational plays, films, concerts and the encouragement of the Arts, including the arts of drama, mime, dance, singing and music.
Rage Arts is a professional arts organisation & educational charity creating stories using film, theatre and music.
We run workshops and theatre and film projects which bring together people of different ages, cultures and levels of ability to work together and learn from each other. Through these productions participants are inspired, enabled and equipped to take the next step in their life.
projects depend upon funding and include occassional Urban Film Clubs where we give young people the opportunity to make their own films working alongside a professional crew.
Each Christmas we tour a subsidised show to primary schools throughout the west midlands through our professional theatre company Primary Theatre Company
We assist people to create their own productions by providing resources, advice and expertise. We are interesting in working with other companies to create shows.
Rage Arts was established in 1996 as a charitable trust based in the West Midlands and incorporated in 2007, working throughout the region including Birmingham and surrounding counties. We have now setup a base in Scotland and we hope to run film, theatre, improv and music projects there soon.
