Objectives

QVIF provides subsidised chiropody for pensioners living in Reading and Earley.   Including corns, bunions, and fungal infections, in growing toenails, and calluses, as well as basic nail-clipping.   This contributes to their continuing mobility and comfort.   Older folk cannot always reach their own feet to look after them themselves.   There is a shortage of NHS chiropody locally.  Services are provided mainly at our own premises, but also at satellite clinics and at home for patients who can no longer get to our clinic.

Activities

Employ staff and utilise free-lance chiropodists and foot health professionals to provide the service.   Manage our wholly-owned building where the service is based.
