Proud and Loud Arts will begin to share performance work regionally and nationally to gain recognition as a leading creator of accessible performance.

Proud and Loud Arts is a Salford based charity developing creative opportunities for disabled artists living across Greater Manchester. We primarily work together as a company of artists, creating innovative, thought-provoking performance primarily to raise greater awareness and understanding of a variety of social and cultural issues from a disability perspective.
Work we create focuses on challenging audiences, pushing artistic boundaries and raising expectations. Proud and Loud Arts has received widespread recognition for its contributions to the arts and commitment to diversity and inclusion. In 2019, they were awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (2019), Community Stars (2007), and the prestigious Philip Lawrence Award (2008).
Proud and Loud Arts was also nominated in 2019 for a Manchester Cultural Award for improving diversity in the creative sector. Individual artists supported by the company have also received awards and recognition. Christina Jones received a nomination (2019) for the Spirit of Manchester Awards for her project Shadow Girl the City Streets. In 2021, Toby Taylor received recognition from The Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester for his work supporting learning disabled adults through lockdown with his Dance mornings. Daryll Duncan took on a volunteer leadership role in our Wednesday morning Drama groups and has been nominated for the GM Health and Care Champion Awards (2023).
