Promise Inclusion Ltd is a local, independent and user-led charity helping to improve the lives of children and adults with a learning disability/autism, their carers and families within the Boroughs of Wokingham and Bracknell. We provide support through a Family Liaison Service in Wokingham and Bracknell; workshops and respite activities for carers; 2 siblings support groups; a Youth Group for young people with learning disabilities; social groups for adults in both Boroughs to enable them to make friends and reduce their social isolation and a Life Skills programme called Gateway. We are affiliated to, but not funded by Royal Mencap.
Our members are among the most disadvantaged and marginalised in society and have fewer life opportunities, leading to greater social isolation. Our aim is that those with a learning disability and/or autism, their siblings and families are enhanced and improved, delivering on the promise that all lives matter.
We provide activities and events for children and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, their siblings and their carers. We also provide information and support for carers, and we campaign for the rights of people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
