Objectives

We believe that every young person should have the chance to embrace exciting opportunities. So, we help 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to transform their lives

Many of the young people we help are in, or leaving, care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law.

We have returned £1.4 billion in value to society through our help for disadvantaged young people over the last 10 years alone.

Our free programmes give young people the practical and financial support they need to stabilise their lives. We help them develop key skills while boosting their confidence and motivation so they can continue to dream big.

  • Primary School Mentoring Programme - This unique programme provides specialised mentoring for young girls and boys, aged 9 to 11-years-old, and their parents. By connecting them to relevant role models and organising university trips and graduation ceremonies, it helps to raise the aspirations of the young people and empowers their parents to support their daughters in fulfilling their potential.
  • Secondary School Mentoring Programme - This year-long programme, for 11 to 18-year-olds, offers a package of opportunities that includes inspirational speaker presentations and Mosaic’s World of Work (WoW) visits, alongside connecting students to positive role models who combine life experience with a structured programme to help raise their confidence, self-efficacy and future employability.
  • Mosaic's Enterprise Challenge - This is an annual inter-school competition that encourages a spirit of entrepreneurship among young people. Students aged 11 to 16-years-old with mentor support learn about establishing and running a business through a business simulation game, with successful teams pursuing their own sustainable businesses through regional and national Dragons’ Den style finals
