The object of the CIO is to provide and maintain the Community Centre for the use of the inhabitants of Poynton With Worth and its environs without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, to advance education and provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreational and leisure time activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for said inhabitants.
The Centre makes available rooms and its halls for any local community groups, and the Trustees work to raise funds and generally support the infrastructure of the community centre, over the past 4 years we have raised £150,000 to refurbish the centre, and brought it back into use as a valuable community hub
