Polo Pastures was founded in 2015 and became a Registered Not For Profit Limited by Guarantee in July 2017.
As the only Charity dedicated to the rehoming and retirement of Polo Ponies (when they come to the end of their careers in Polo) in the UK we help ensure these ponies find suitable non playing homes where they will be cared for for the rest of their lives.
Polo Pastures offers a safe place for these ponies to come for assessment with the view to finding them new homes.
We are also involved in the welfare of Polo Ponies and have a good relationship with the Polo Community, Polo Clubs, The Federation of International Polo, and the Hurlingham Polo Association who are the governing body of Polo in the UK.
We are now looking to grow as a Charity and are looking for 3 Trustees for our organisation. We are looking for people in all areas of business to guide us, and help us grow as an organisation.
To date we have mainly concentrated on the rehabilitation and re-homing side of the organisation. We have attended some Polo matches to raise awareness of what we do, although being the only dedicated Charity for Polo Ponies in the U.K. we already have extensive awareness throughout the Polo Community, and with the wider public.
