Playing ON Theatre Company is creating a world where communities are better understood. We bring together experts by experience and experts by profession through innovative performances, workshops and training to explore new relationships; transforming lives and improving the wellbeing of all. Playing ON was set up in 2010 to provide a platform for marginalised voices and create professional theatre of the highest artistic quality.
We disrupt cycles of disengagement by facilitating drama workshops and improvised performances among marginalised groups. These provide the inspiration for scripted plays, which we perform in theatres before bringing them back to the original groups. In this way we use theatre to transform lives and create new cycles of engagement.
