Plant Heritage is the world’s leading cultivated plant conservation charity. Its objective is the conservation of cultivated plants, including research into their value to society and the education of the general public.
The National Plant Collections® scheme is the main focus of Plant Heritage’s conservation work and it provides a framework by which plants are maintained, researched and recorded in cultivation. The Threatened Plants Project is a long term research project which seeks to identify which plants are threatened and worthy of conservation in order to direct activity towards these plants. Plant Heritage’s public education mandate is carried out through a range of events, publications, workshops and other activities
