The Sea Cadets is the UK’s leading maritime charity and provides a head start in life for young people through nautical adventure and fun. Our volunteers work, both directly with young people and behind the scenes, to help make a positive difference to teenagers who are often struggling in today’s world and their communities.
At Penzance we aim to give young people an experience that will help them grow into the person they want to be in a safe and friendly environment. Through various activities and adventures, we learn teamwork, respect, loyalty, self-confidence, commitment, self-discipline, honesty and how to be the best version of ourselves.
We offer a range of different activities from sailing, rowing and power boating - to catering, first aid and seamanship - plus, so much more! At Penzance our young people gain different qualifications that they can take with them once they leave Sea Cadets!
