Objectives

Penycae Football Club was set up in 1982. It started a casual sport club, and then gradually developed into a small to medium sized regional football organisation.  Till date there are many awards and achievements which are listed on the website.

The overall aim of Penycae Football Club CIC is have a sustainable community organisation that can generate revenue itself and attract funding to have paid staff to lead and operate the organisation for a better connected community in Penycae. The journey has started by engaging SPORTED, a national non-for-profit organisation to review legal structure, get a business mentor to set strategies, set up business plan and other core business documents. Then the Governance body which is the Committee will need to decide new ways of operating and make recruitment of volunteers, fundraising events and funding applications more professionally. The strategy is to apply for grants and funding to improve on current infrastructure and have more young people to join the Committee to run the organisation long term to achieve the overall aim.

The Penycae Football Club CIC project is different from other projects, as it is focused on local rural community in Penycae and it is aimed to support local young sports players at grassroots level to achieve to their full potential.  It is the only local community hub in Penycae that operates to encourage youth football and at the same time offering a great community facility for the benefit of the whole community.

The Penycae Football Club facility hosts many community events, offering a comfortable environment, which gives a sense of belonging to many. The aspirations and collaborative working are clear to see where individuals and groups can prosper.
