Pembrokeshire Care Society (PCS) has been providing services in support of the homeless and those at risk of homelessness for more than forty years. We are an established charitable company with a great reputation for service delivery.
Our Vision is to "work with our partners and the people we support to end homelessness in Pembrokeshire. To do this, we will consider new initiatives and work tirelessly and enthusiastically, listening and responding. Staff will be consulted and supported and equipped with the skills to ensure that we are able to make a difference."
Mission Statement
“To assist as many persons as is possible, within the given resources, who are faced with homelessness or threatened with homelessness”
Dealing with the most immediate needs for people who find themselves homeless or at risk of homelessness such as advice, assistance and advocacy, on housing, homeless rights, evictions, welfare benefits, housing benefits and debt guidance.
A tenancy related support service which can be provided across all tenures. The main aim is to promote independent living by helping with any housing related issues which could prevent the loss of a tenancy or to assist with the setting up of a successful new tenancy.
Our Social Lettings Agency is Pembrokeshire’s only social letting agency. Continually working with local landlords to improve available housing options and finding ways to overcome barriers to make it easier for people to find a secure home.
Mental health issues are a leading cause of homelessness, so we've put together the best counselling team to tackle the problem head-on. Due to the expansion of our mental health team, we can now offer short and long-term counselling - including free counselling available to those on low incomes and in receipt of universal credit.
Our Numeracy Project is aimed at adults 19+ who want to build confidence with numbers, improve employability, gain a qualification or simply manage their finances better to support with daily living. Lessons are held on a one-one basis, both in person and online, and also includes group sessions throughout Pembrokeshire.
