Objectives

At Pedal Power cycling club our focus is people with learning disabilities from moderate to profound and complex, of all ages from 3- 103. Ours is a very friendly club and we welcome support workers and families to join in the fun. We also welcome people with physical disabilities and visual impairment. At Pedal Power we have cycles to suit any disability.

We are based in Finsbury Park, London N.4. where we use the Sports Track every Tuesday morning - 11.00-13.00 (February-November) and every other Saturday morning.

We also hold weekly sessions at Arsenal Football Club (Emirates Stadium) every Thursday from February-November.   We are allowed to use the circular concourse around the stadium.   We have a storage area for our cycles.

Our user groups mostly come from the surrounding boroughs of Haringey, Hackney and Islington.  But we also have members from Barnet, Camden, Westminster, Enfield.   So Pedal Power serves a wide area of North London.

Activities

Pedal Power has around 250 cycles, tricycles, bicycles, tandems, side by sides, tag alongs, wheelchair bikes, velos for people who cannot transfer from their wheelchairs, with this range of cycles we can offer the fun of cycling to all. Many of our cycle trainers, committee members and volunteers either have children with disabilities or they themselves have a disability, their experience gives the club good insight into the needs of people with disabilities
