Pebsham Primary Academy is a one form entry primary school serving families in the Bexhill area, and beyond to Hastings. Our children are at the centre of all we do and learn to understand how they can make a difference to their own and others' futures. Our curriculum is unique, drawing on our locality with access to the sea shore and other opportunities for outside learning. Our children have achieved above or in line with the national average for our EYFS GLD data, Y1 phonics screening check data, Y4 multiplication check data and Y6 SATs data of which we are very proud.
The school is part of TKAT which has it's own Board of Directors, however the school itself has a Local Governing Body, independent of the Board, but accountable to TKAT for everything that we do. The Local Governing Body comprises members from staff, our parents and the wider community.
Being a school governor is a rewarding and fulfilling role; helping to provide a suitable, safe, and exciting environment for learning is critical to giving every child the chance they deserve. We meet in person at least six times per year to oversee Standards, Business, Health & Safety and Safeguarding. In addition, Governors visit the school regularly to monitor its progress and to ask challenging questions to ensure that the school is meeting the needs of all the children and providing an education that will enthuse and inspire them. We regularly speak to children, parents and staff to find out their views.
