Objectives

The Pearce Foundation was established in April 2022 to provide financial & in-kind support to small, fledgling charities and not-for-profit organisations to help them meet the needs of their beneficiaries more effectively.

Our aims and approach have been defined by more than 20 years’ experience working in small organisations within the charity sector. We recognise that for an organisation and its people to thrive, there needs to be the right investment in both. Our tailored support activities and capacity building grants help achieve this.

We do not focus on a specific area of need and are open to a wide range of causes. We are governed more by whether an organisation is ripe and ready for investment, support and growth. Currently our focus is on Sussex, but we aim to extend our support further afield longer term.

Activities

We provide both financial and in-kind support to charitable organisations looking to develop their capacity.

Our three-stage grant making model and tailored support activities, aims to encourage responsible and sustainable growth by providing timely support to organisations looking to take the next step in their development. Our goal is to support them so that they can go on to support others to the best of their ability.

Our support is offered in 3 ways.

Organisational support:  We provide strategic support to ensure our Partners have the right resources, systems and equipment in place to operate effectively.

Personal support: We support individuals to reach their full potential by offering opportunities to develop their skills, experience and competencies.

Peer-to-peer support: We encourage our Partners to share their skills, experience and strengths with others in our network via a circular model that promotes the principles of giving and receiving.
