The Park Centre opened in 2005 to increase accessibility to community support decreasing feelings of isolation within the local community. We have significantly grown and developed at the Park Centre over recent years and now wish to strengthen our Board of Trustees and are therefore looking to recruit individuals who share our vision to help make a significant difference to the lives of the local community. Having grown as we have done over the last couple of years we are in a transitional phase to becoming a more professional charity with more of a public profile.
Various community Groups have been formed throughout the years including a 60+ club which has over 60 members, Art and Craft Group, Parent and Toddler Group, Keep fit classes, as well as self help groups, community groups and local business. We strongly feel since the Park Centre opened we have strengthen the community of Kingswood by ensuring that people of all races and background are valued and participate on equal terms within the centres activities.
