Objectives

Parental Minds aim to empower curiosity around mental healthcare through peer support, resource development, research, collaboration and networking.

The Parent+ Support Hub is for Caregivers who support family, friends or colleagues with mental health issues. We provide 1:1 support via WhatsApp, monthly zoom workshops and weekly and monthly peer support hubs.

Our volunteers have all supported family & friends with mental health issues. We also have an advisory board of professionals and work closely with local and national mental health services and networks.

Activities

We provide support via:

  • Support Hubs - weekly in Honiton and Sidmouth. Here, carers and parents can talk to our volunteers and staff about their situation, be given resources, and be signposted to other useful organisations.
  • Support Hubs - Once a month in Honiton we hold an evening hub focused on a theme.
  • 1:1 support on WhatsApp - Carers can talk to our volunteers and receive resources and signposting.
  • Zoom Workshops - Once a month we hold a workshop focused on a theme (e.g. PDA, ODD, self harm, eating disorders).
  • Social Media - We frequently share events on our facebook page, timetables, resources, and links to other organisations that our followers may find useful.
