PEGS supports parents, carers and guardians who are experiencing child to parent abuse. We provide support at no charge as we believe everyone should have access to the support they need. We provide support such as a peer support group, weekday drop in sessions with a trained CPA practitioner, parent workshops around resilience and empowerment and one to one support including advocacy. We have supported over 3,500 parents. Our aims are to support those experiencing child to parent abuse, to raise awareness of child to parent abuse, to influence regional and national policy and to support professionals who may come accross CPA.
We run weekday drop in sessions so that parents, carers and guardians have a safe space to talk about their circumstances which being able to access the knowledge and support of a trained CPA practitioner. We run regular workshops to help build resilience and empowerment. Our one to one support includes advocacy for those needing it, home risk assessments and more. we provide training to professionals who may come accross CPA within their roles and we raise awareness for CPA by hosting events, attending regional and national DA forums and having an influence in policy. We have a DWP backed employer covernant for Child to Parent Abuse.
